Best mint for custom made coins? Advice needed...
 

I am interested in making 1oz silver rounds for an event. I already have the 2 sides designed. I want the best detail and finest proof finish available.I would also like them individually numbered/ limited to 200 coins.

I have a couple questions, I need advice! Hopefully someone with experience can help. I would really appreciate it.

Who makes the highest quality coins?

Which is the best and most reliable mint to deal with?

Which mint has the fastest turnover rate?

Anybody have any pictures of their custom coins for reference?

Try the custom minting dept at Silvertowne. But they have a big backlog of orders.

Just a thought. ISTM (from general engineering principles and no knowledge of coin design) that before you think about a mint you'd best discuss your design with a really good engraver/die-sinker; one who is experienced in knowing how a drawing will turn out "in the metal" and will not be afraid of telling you if (s)he thinks your idea needs altering.

Does Silvertowne have it's own die shop, or do they subcontract the work out?
